About the Baker

Michelle Meyers

Cooking and baking have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, but in 2022 I became obsessed with baking bread. Talented bakers like Ali Stafford, Chelsa Smith, and Macey Merlak inspired me to jump in to the world of sourdough. I had so much fun practicing their recipes, and shared my bread with friends and family.

After a year of non-stop baking, I realized I had found my calling. At this point I can’t think of anything better than a fresh loaf of sourdough or warm chocolate chip cookies! Plus, playing with bread and baking yummy things just makes me happy. Sharing this journey with my community has clicked with me in a way that no other job has.

When I moved to Ellicott City, I knew I wanted to take my baking to the next level. My husband Tim and I fell in love with our new home, and I was eager to connect with our neighborhood. We gradually set up our home kitchen to support all of my baking projects, which eventually grew in to starting Bonfire Breads!

Bonfire Breads was created thanks to the support of many amazing folks in my life. My biggest supporter being my husband Tim, who has always cheered me on and helped make my home bakery a reality. My Mom and the rest of my family are amazing and help test recipes and share excitement about my bakes over FaceTime. My friends and co-workers have been huge supporters and sharing this with them has brought me so much joy. And a special thanks to my Aunt Bonnie who’s logo design gave me the final push to start this adventure!

Thank you for being a part of my journey with Bonfire Breads! Sharing my love of baking with you and your families is a dream come true!
